The test centre is located in the east wing of Migvie house, which is set in an old courtyard. The train station is about a mile away.
 

When you do not need a theory test

You must pass a theory test before taking a driving test to upgrade your license. An automatic car license can be upgraded to a manual car license. From category A1 (small motorcycles) to category A2 if you've been licensed for two years. Category C1 (medium vehicles), to category C if you passed a car driving test.

A minibus must tow a trailer. You do NOT need to take a theory exam before booking a minibus.

When you book your driving test online, you'll be given an estimated time until you get called for your test. You won't be put in any sort of queue.

What is the theory test pass mark?

The pass mark for the car test is 86% (43/50). You must get at least 43 correct answers to pass this part of your test. You also need a perfect score on the hazard perception test (44/75) to pass the whole test.
