Those applicants wishing to visit the test centre by car will discover that there are two different parking facilities both located within a two minute walk of the centre, so there is no real difference between them. They both cost less than £2 for a short-term stay, and will provide you with more than enough time to complete your task and come back.
The bus station is located approximately 0.3 miles from the test centre, but unfortunately the train station is not located within a suitable walking distance of the test centre, and will therefore require alternative transport to reach.
Booking Your Driving Theory Test
While you are attempting to book in your driving theory test, we will be assisting you. We contact the DVLA on your behalf to make sure that you can get booking done quickly, and we will provide you with everything that you need. Because we value customer service, we actively provide a rebooking service for anybody who needs it.
About the Driving Theory Test
The driving theory test itself is designed to give you a practical understanding of the theoretical elements of driving, so it has been designed for this purpose. The test itself consists of two different parts. The first of which is a multiple-choice quiz, which will see you answering a selection of questions to test your knowledge of all parts of driving theory. The second is a simulation of a vehicle driving down the road, where you will be asked to identify hazards and react to them promptly.
Taking the Test
Please make sure that you arrive 15 minutes early to the testing centre, as the DVLA are not incredibly tolerant of late candidates, and will simply fail anybody who does not arrive on time. When you arrive at the testing facility, you will be asked to put all of your belongings into a secure storage locker prior to entering the test room.
Please do not attempt to take anything in with you, as this will be seen as an act of cheating.
After the Test
When you have completed the test, you will be given a piece of paper with your results on. You will know automatically whether you have passed or failed, and you will also get a detailed analysis of your scores in each subject.
