About the Driving Theory Test
The driving theory test is designed to give you a well rounded education in all of the rules of the road. It is imperative that you are properly educated on the theoretical elements of driving if you are going to succeed.
Your driving theory test will comprise two parts. First of all, you will be asked to participate in a multiple-choice quiz, where you will be answering questions about topics such as identifying road signs, calculating stopping distances, and other important elements pertaining to the laws of driving.
The second part of your driving test will consist of a simulation where you will need to correctly identify hazards and react to them in a timely manner. This will be indicative of your ability to react while driving, so it’s important that this is done properly.
Taking the Test
Taking the test is very simple. You will need to report to the facility 15 minutes early, as the DVLA is not fond of those applicants who are late, and do in fact hand out fails. Please do not bring any possessions into the test with you, as you will instead be prompted to put all of your belongings into a secure storage locker for the duration of your visit.
After the Test
Once your test has been completed, you will be given a piece of paper which will detail your results. You will know automatically whether you have passed or failed, and there will also be a breakdown of the scores you achieved. In the event you do not pass on the first attempt, please contact us for further information.
