What is the Driving Theory Test in Wrexham?

The Driving Theory Test in Wrexham is one of the many test centres across the UK where you can take your theory test for car, motorcycle and HGV/LGV candidates. The theory test is a computer-based test that assesses your knowledge of the Highway Code, road signs, traffic rules, hazards and safe driving practices. You need to pass the theory test before you can book your practical driving test.

The test centre is located within a Mobile Testing Vehicle and is situated within the Worksop Library. It is easily accessible by public transport or by car.

How to get to the Driving Theory Test in Wrexham?

Depending on how you are travelling to the test centre, there are different options available.

By car: If you are driving to the test centre, there are no public car parks nearby, but there is free parking on Memorial Avenue and surrounding streets. It is approximately a minute’s walk to the test centre.
By bus: The nearest stop is on Memorial Avenue within a minute’s walk of the test centre. There are frequent bus services from various locations in and around Wrexham.
By train: There are two train stations located in Wrexham, and both are within a kilometre of the test centre. The closest station is Wrexham Central, which is a short, seven-minute walk away from the test centre. The onwards journey to the test site from this station involves an eastbound walk along Hill Street and Hope Street, before descending onto Memorial Avenue and onto the venue. However, please note that Wrexham Central only facilitates local train services, with national routes heading into Wrexham General. If arriving into Wrexham General, we would still advise heading onto Memorial Avenue on foot. To do so, simply head south-east on Regent Street, and merge onto Hope Street. At the end of the road turn left, and then immediately right, and locate the venue around 50m up on your left-hand side.
