The test centre is based at the Mull Community Trust. This is located near the ferry terminal in Craignure, and is just a short walk.

About the Driving Theory Test
The driving theory test is designed to provide you with a well rounded education and driving theory. This side of driving is just as important as your ability in the practical area, and so you will need to make sure that you have completed both sections of the test.
The driving theory test will consist of a multiple-choice quiz, where you will be answering questions about driving theory, followed by a driving simulation where you will have to identify potential hazards and dangers, while reacting to them in a prompt manner.
Taking the Test
Please arrive 15 minutes early to the testing centre, as the DVLA does not take kindly to late applicants. They have the right to fail any candidate who was late at their own discretion, and this is not something we can appeal for you.
When you arrive at the testing facility, you will be asked to surrender all of your belongings and put them into a secure storage locker for the duration of your visit. Please make sure that you comply with this instruction, because if you are found to be taking any of your possessions into the testing room, then you will be failed on suspicion of cheating.
After the Test
Once the test has been completed, you will be given a piece of paper. This sheet of paper will contain information about the results of your test, there is no need to wait.
You will be told automatically whether you have passed or failed, you will also be given a detailed breakdown of your scores in each of the segments. Once this has been decided, you will need to contact us for further instructions in the event you have not managed to pass.
