The old magistrates court is located at 71 North street, Guildford.

The Guildford Car Theory Test Center is located on the first floor of the multi storey car park next to Woking train station. The test center is open from Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. To take your practical driving test, you first need to pass the theory test. You can take the theory test in any one of the several available languages and if you fail just once, then there is no need to worry as you can retake it.

You must usually have passed your Theory Test before booking. You do NOT need a Theory Test to book a Tractor Test. You do NOT need to pass a Lorry or Trailer Test to be allowed to drive a Lorry or Trailer. You DO NOT need to pass a Bus or Trailers Test to be allowed to operate a Bus or Trailer.

By public transport this theory test centre is conveniently located a short distance from Guildford train station, and it only takes about ten minutes to get there by car. If you're arriving from the other side of the city, no problem! It also only take about eleven minutes to talk from the centre to London Road station, if you choose to use the bus. We'd recommend getting off at either the library bus stop or the friary bus station. Both of these stops are only five minutes' walk away from where you'll be sitting the test.
